hot chocolate.
the school has these big costco size containers of hot chocolate powder in the staff room and the other day i thought i'd have a cup. then later, i had another. and still later, another. everyday, i try to limit it to just one cup but i'm cold, i want sweetness, it's so yummy. i brought my own 44% less calories hot chocolate powder to school the other day thinking that would help but it just doesn't taste as good.
i am drinking some now as i write. how am i going to break this...?
but speaking of drinking addictions...i have had diet coke in weeks. i don't have any in the house ever. once in awhile when i get wendy's, i have diet coke but it's hard to believe that it's so removed from my daily meals. crazy. remember the three a day? wow.

This probably won't help you with your addiction, but you know what's really good? Put a tiny bit of orange peel in when you're pouring in the hot water. This will give it a slight orange flavo(u)r without adding any calories. I learned this trick at my favorite coffee shop in Seattle.
I do remember the 3 a day DC days. You are a champ...if you could beat the iron grip of DC, hot chocolate is nothing! What about switching to an herbal tea? I know it's not as creamy, but you can get some lovely ones that are sweet(ish) and comforting without the calories and sugar.
mmm my favourite herbal tea - that still has a strong flavour, as too many herbal teas are weak - is Bengal Spice. so good.
i like to make my hot chocolate with caeds homo milk and add marshmallows. more calories and sugar, but, you know. yum.
Hey Rebecca, your aunt Carolyn says to make it with hot milk...very good.
