sometimes if i'm running late in the morning, i take my straightener with me to school and add the finishing touches (haha) before school starts. yes, seriously. so this morning i brought it along but i thought my hair was looking okay with just the blowdrying so i didn't bother straightening it.
then after i got my kids started on silent reading, i went to the 5,6,7 classroom to ask the teacher something and one of my students from last year says, "mrs. shulba! did you just roll out of bed or something?" i said, "why?" and he replied, "your hair."
hmm...
i straightened my hair during my prep.
although...now that i think about it, this was the kid who told me my new haircut last year made me look like michael jackson so i probably shouldn't have been too worried. ha.

haha, I want to see what this kids mother looks like. Does she always have perfect hair? I don't think I ever noticed teacher's hair. Except Miss. Dyck and her awesome giant bangs. Wow!

Lavonne and I had this joke in the summer (when we both worked for my dad) that it was "bring your straightener to work day". and literally, i brought it many times. there is this new employee now, who i believe would be really thrown off by the whole scenario.
but i cant even tell you how much i identify...
