oh the names...

so tim and i DO have two boy names that we agree on and one will most likely be it but we've had this name agreed on since before we were even pregnant so it just feels a little like we haven't tried enough to think of other great names.

any suggestions? (since jonny started the suggestion game) i guess you won't be suggesting your secretly loved names that you want to use but maybe there's some gooders out there? we don't like anything that ends in a, starts with a sh, or is too weird...because "shulba" is weird enough. we have our child repeating and spelling out both last name AND first name.

for a second I was like, "what's wrong with beginning with sh or ending in a?" Ahh, right. Shayla Shulba is out then, hey?

Again, no suggestions. Although I'm pretty sure Dallas would recommend Dallas. Ha.

How about Gordon? Harry? Stewart? George? Patrick? Jonathan? Ha ha. Okay, I'm no help, sorry. But I do actually like Jonathan. Solid name. Could work well with Shulba. But then he'll be nicknamed Joe, or Joey, or John, or Johnny. That might not work...I AM SO EXCITED YOU'RE HAVING A BOY! (Now I don't have to exchange the gift I got you!)

Yes, Dallas. Dallas is a wonderful name. :)

I don't think Shayla would work too well for a baby boy anyway... just a thought.

Unfortunately I don't have any fantastic boy names for you either. Except to say that I like biblical names for boys. I also like names that are well known but not common, and the Bible is also a good place for those. I think you should consider a name with either one or three syllables, because Shulba has two syllables. It's all about the cadence.

What about Luke?

I also think you should consider names with at least one long vowel, since Shulba has two short vowels. Again, it's about the cadence.

Yep, I've been thinking a lot about your baby's name!
