what are on your feet?

when colder weather rolls around, there are no more ballet flats for me. i want socks on. and every winter, i find that there are very few cute shoes that accommodate socks. i attempted to buy a pair of uggs (well, a knock off) but after much analysing, will be returning them. i don't think i can make them work with my wardrobe...and that would mean buying a new wardrobe which is not an option.

what are you wearing with socks this winter? please. i need help.

I like my black riding boots that I bought a few years ago. Especially when it's cold out, I don't just want my feet covered, but as much as my leg as well! I also have my adidas runners for when it's not raining and I want to walk fast.

I know what you mean though about needing a whole new wardrobe when you buy a new pair of shoes. That's the worst.

Well I have become a huge fan of boots! In fact all I want to buy right now are different types of boots to accomodate all my clothes - as if that wouldn't get expensive. I would advise invest in one good pair that keep your feet warm, go with most things and are good support to your feet. Then you will wear them with everything!

I did buy a new pair of boots this year from Aldo - they go a little below the knee - I have been able to fit my regular jeans in them but it takes some work. I find tights, skinny jeans and lulus work the best.

I have heard that Rocket Dogs are better - they go not to high, but high enough to keep you warm and they give the impression of looking fitted, but you can still fit regular sized pants/jeans in them. Sharelle has a pair and they are decently priced.

I bought some great, comfortable, stylish boots this fall that are kinda slouchy so I can tuck my pants in them or wear them under my pants, and they even go with a long skirt. They were 20% off, and 40% off the second pair! So I bought them in black and grey!!! :) I wear them pretty much everyday...
