along the Icefield Parkway, you will see the Columbia Icefield...umm...probably key in determining the name of this stretch of highway...
there are these signs showing where the glacier was in the past and how it's receeding...

there are lots of signs along the way up warning you of the dangers of the glacier...how you could fall into crevases and hypothermia will set in before you get rescued...
and then there are the people who take no heed to these warnings...and instead hold their children above the crevases precariously...
outside the boundaries.
when you hold your arm out with the camera to get a shot of your two heads, it's bound to get someone to ask you if you'd like THEM to take a picture for you. "yes, thanks."
